Mukacheve is one of the major towns of Ukraine's Transcarpathia region, with around 80 thousand residents. It is both a popular tourist destination and a developing industrial center. It has a wonderful, spotlessly clean city center and a castle on a nearby hill that dates from as early as the IX century. If you're visiting Transcarpathia, Mukacheve is an absolute must! It can be reached by train from Kiev or Uzhhorod.
